DESCRIPTION

Morocco FinTech Accelerator (MFA) program by UM6P, is Morocco’s first university FinTech-based incubator and accelerator. The MFA program empowers entrepreneurs with evidence-based entrepreneurship and business design skills connecting them with a powerful network that includes faculty, expert mentors, partners and investors in only three months!

The MFA program is for early-stage startups that are high-growth and innovation-driven. Startups get selected through an internal rigorous process based on the novelty of the idea, scalability and commercial potential as well as the team’s track record, cohesion, tenacity and commitment to success.

We look for disruptors and innovators in various areas of Financial Technology including but not limited to core banking services, wealth management, back-office functions, regulatory compliance, AI, data analytics, payments, Insurtech, Lending and Savings, digital automation, automated marketing, gamification, privacy/data protection, and enterprise Blockchain.

The MFA program runs in two batches per year where each batch includes around ten startups.
Each intensive acceleration experience is three months long.

Interactive training sessions led by domain experts, tailored to the thematic challenges addressed during the sprint phase. These workshops are designed to enhance the skill set and knowledge of the FinTech teams.

Each FinTech participant will have access to dedicated experts or advisors. These industry professionals will guide the startups in the development of their Minimum Viable Product (MVP), providing specialized knowledge and personalized coaching.

Depending on the specific support needs expressed, each FinTech will be paired with a mentor. These mentors will offer the necessary support to help the startups overcome their challenges, providing insights and guidance drawn from their own experience in the field.

Networking sessions will be organized for the benefit of the FinTechs, featuring successful entrepreneurs from the Moroccan FinTech scene and the global arena. These sessions aim to foster connections, collaborations, and learning from those who have already made significant strides in the industry.
