inwiDAYS Awards Rules
Article 1: Organizing Entities and Purpose
Wana Corporate, a public limited company with a capital of 5,857,302,900 MAD, registered with the Casablanca Trade Register under No. 99907, located at Lotissement la Colline 2, Sidi Maarouf, Casablanca, in collaboration with its partner UM6P (collectively "the Organizers"), is organizing the "Inwidays Awards" competition (hereinafter referred to as the "Competition"). The aim is to reward the best projects from Moroccan startups operating in one of the following fields: Sport-Tech, Customer Experience, Fintech, RetailTech, Operational Efficiency, Artificial Intelligence and Data, Internet of Things, and any other technological innovation with significant impact.
Participation in the Competition is subject to these General Terms and Conditions of Participation (hereinafter "Terms and Conditions" or "T&C"), which participants (hereinafter "Participants") expressly accept upon registration.
The General Terms and Conditions of Participation constitute a contract between the Participants and the Organizers. Participation in the Competition implies irrevocable and unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Article 2: Participation Conditions
The Competition is open to all commercial legal entities operating in the aforementioned fields that:
- Are residents of Morocco;
- Have an established legal structure.
Participation in the Competition is free. Those wishing to participate must:
- Visit the website at https://innov.inwi.ma/;
- Read and unconditionally accept the T&C;
- Complete the participation form available at this link.
Article 3: Exclusions
The Organizers may exclude any Participant:
- Who has not complied with these T&C;
- Who has made offensive and/or defamatory statements on any media, damaging the Organizers' brand image;
- Who has made false or misleading statements;
- Who has committed or attempted any fraud;
- Who has modified or attempted to modify, by any means, the Competition mechanisms, particularly to alter or influence the results.
This exclusion can occur at any time without notice and without prejudice to any action that the Organizers may take against the Participant in violation of these terms.
Before awarding prizes, the Organizers reserve the right to verify the information provided by the Participant declared the "winner." If the Participant has provided incorrect information, the prize will be annulled. If false statements, fraud, or attempted fraud are discovered after the prize has been awarded, the Participant must immediately return the prize. The Organizers reserve the right to take any necessary action against the Participant.
Article 4: Competition Process - Selection and Awarding of Prizes
The Competition is open for applications from 06/07/2024 to 06/17/2024 at 00:00 and follows the schedule below:
- 06/07/2024: Call for applications launch;
- 06/17/2024 to 06/19/2024: Pre-selection of applications;
- 06/25/2024: Pitch and presentation during the INWIDAYS AWARD;
- 06/25/2024 to 09/30/2024: Acceleration program.
The jury will select five (5) winners based on five criteria established by the Organizers:
- Economic viability of the project;
- Innovation and distinctiveness;
- Team skills and experience;
- Potential impact;
- Scalability and growth potential.
Pre-selected Participants must present their projects to a selection committee of experts (the Jury) on June 25, 2024, at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Benguerir, Morocco. Absence from this selection committee will result in automatic exclusion from the Competition.
At the end of this committee, the Jury will deliberate to select the five (5) winners. The Organizers cannot be held liable if the Competition is canceled, extended, postponed, or modified.
Article 5: Competition Modifications
The Organizers reserve the right to shorten, extend, postpone, or cancel the Competition and to modify any part of the T&C without notice. Any changes will be communicated to Participants on the website innov.inwi.ma, and new T&C will take effect upon online publication. Continued participation in the Competition implies acceptance of any changes.
The Organizers recommend that Participants regularly check the T&C online to stay informed of any updates. Wana Corporate reserves the right to replace the prizes with others of equivalent value, informing the public of such changes as deemed appropriate.
Article 6: Prizes
Five startups will be selected to benefit from an exceptional 3-month acceleration program in partnership with INWI and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. This program includes:
- Mentoring sessions with industry experts;
- Fundraising preparation workshops;
- Networking opportunities with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry players.
Article 7: Winner Notification and Prize Distribution
Winners will be contacted by the Organizers via the phone number provided in the participation form to arrange prize acceptance, which must be formalized within ten (10) days of contact. Winners must prove their identity with an official document.
The prize is non-transferable and awarded nominatively.
Article 8: Authorization
Participants authorize the Organizers to publicize the Competition and its results without compensation by:
- Mentioning their names and first names;
- Reproducing their images.
Participants consent to the use of their names and images for promotional purposes for three (3) years following their pre-selection, across any medium worldwide. They also agree to appear in press announcements, posters, TV and radio spots, and other promotional materials without additional compensation.
Article 9: Personal Data Processing
Personal information collected (name, address, phone number, email) will be processed per Law No. 09-08 on the protection of individuals regarding personal data processing. Data will be used to manage competition participation.
Article 10: Limitation of Liability
The Organizers cannot be held responsible for damages resulting from prize use, network disruptions affecting registration or Competition execution, technical issues, loss of information, repetitive participation consequences, or Competition cancellation. They are also not liable for non-identification or absence of winners within the specified timeframe.
Article 11: Domicile Election
For the execution of these terms, the parties elect domicile as follows:
- Wana Corporate at its headquarters in Casablanca;
- UM6P Benguerir;
- Participants at their addresses provided in the participation form.
Article 12: Jurisdiction
If any T&C provisions are declared null, inapplicable, or invalid, the remaining clauses remain effective. Disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Casablanca Commercial Court under Moroccan law.
