Context

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has led to the creation of sophisticated deepfakes, which pose significant threats to digital authenticity. Deepfakes are manipulated audio-visual content that can deceive even the most discerning individuals, leading to the spread of misinformation and disinformation.

The widespread adoption of social media platforms contributes even more to this phenomenon and can adversely affect societies; and it could be the largest concern of the mainstream media forensics task force in the time coming before 2030.
